Met Police Officer Charged with Stealing Cash from Deceased Actor

PC Craig Carter faces misconduct charges after allegedly taking £170 from the wallet of Claudio Gaetani, who died of a heart attack in London.

PC Craig Carter, 51, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court and has been suspended from duty.
The alleged theft occurred in September 2022 when Gaetani, an Italian filmmaker, died while cycling.
Bodycam footage reportedly shows Carter counting the stolen money.
Gaetani's friend reported the missing cash after collecting his belongings from the police.
Carter is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court next month.
