Met Police Hunt Suspect After Synagogues and Jewish School Defaced in Golders Green

Police seek witnesses in a case classed as religiously motivated criminal damage.

Overview

  • CCTV shows a man smearing a substance reported to be faeces on two synagogues and along a passageway used by worshippers on Highfield Avenue in the early hours of Sunday, September 7.
  • Shomrim North West London captured the footage, passed it to detectives, and issued a public appeal for information.
  • Detective Superintendent Tony Bellis called the act “revolting and appalling” and asked the public to help identify those responsible, with images of the suspect released.
