- Officers were alerted around 5pm on Tuesday, 30 December, after the woman left a Romford hospital shortly after giving birth.
- The newborn remains under hospital care and is reported to be in good health.
- The Met released CCTV stills showing her arriving visibly pregnant and later leaving, plus an additional image of her in a dark coat and white shirt.
- She is described as in her 20s, of slim build with dark hair, last seen in a light-coloured top and patterned skirt.
- Detective Inspector Neil Godwin says this is not a criminal investigation and urges anyone with information to call 101 quoting CAD3892/30Dec.
