Overview
- The alert covers most of Cumbria and the Lake District from 12am to 11am on Tuesday, November 3.
 - Rainfall rates are expected to pick up from Monday evening through late Tuesday morning, with widespread 30–60 mm and isolated totals up to 80 mm.
 - After heavy rain on Sunday night and early Monday, very wet ground increases the likelihood of surface water and river response, with flooding of a few homes and businesses deemed probable.
 - Bus and train services may see delays, and spray or flooding on roads is likely to slow journeys and extend travel times.
 - Residents are urged to check flood risk, prepare a flood plan and emergency kit, review travel plans, and ready torches, batteries and a phone power pack in case of power cuts.
