- Forecasters expect fog patches to become widespread and dense this evening, with some locations seeing visibility fall below 100 metres.
- The Met Office says journeys may be slower on roads, buses and trains, with a risk of flight delays or cancellations and possible ferry disruption.
- Drivers are advised to check conditions, allow extra time and ensure fog lights work, with the fog expected to thin and lift into low cloud by early Friday morning.
