Overview
- The Metropolitan Police formally submitted 20 case files and 14 overarching evidence files on Wednesday that name 54 individuals and 20 companies for the Crown Prosecution Service to review.
- The Met’s summaries total more than 12,600 pages and reference over 45,000 documents after investigators searched 165 million electronic files, took 14,700 statements and logged more than 27,000 physical exhibits.
- Police asked prosecutors to consider offences including corporate manslaughter, gross negligence manslaughter, health and safety breaches, fraud and misconduct in public office.
