Overview

  • Huyton property raids on July 15 resulted in seizures of two suspected stolen e-bikes, three bags of cannabis, suspected cocaine and about £20,000 in cash with six people arrested.
  • A 13-year-old girl was held on suspicion of cannabis supply and criminal property offences and is now safeguarded in a child protection enquiry.
  • On July 17 a 17-year-old boy suffered head injuries during an assault at Anfield Cemetery before two offenders stole his e-bike and fled.
  • Officers detained one suspect on robbery and drug charges and continue to pursue the second offender while seeking to recover the victim’s bike.
  • Through Operation Gears and EVOLVE Liverpool-Knowsley, police have used enhanced stop-and-search powers to seize over 500 illegal or non-compliant electric bikes since January.
