Mergim Berisha Returns to FC Augsburg on Loan from Hoffenheim

The striker faced challenges at Hoffenheim, including a serious knee injury and limited playing time under two different head coaches.
Hoffenheim signed Berisha in 2023 for €14 million, but the move did not yield the expected results due to injuries and conflicts with coaching staff.
In a related move, Augsburg ended Irvin Cardona’s loan to Espanyol Barcelona and loaned him to AS Saint-Étienne for the remainder of the season.
