Overview

  • Averill succeeds Moira Walley-Beckett, who exited the role in July after initially boarding the project in 2024.
  • The series is being developed at Amazon MGM Studios for Prime Video and has not been ordered to series, with no casting announced.
  • Production partners include Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films, and Premeditated Productions, with author Rebecca Yarros among the executive producers.
  • Amazon currently holds TV rights to Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, as Yarros’s Empyrean novels continue to post major sales milestones, including long bestseller runs and multimillion-copy totals in the U.S.
