- Developed with Hellgeth Engineering by Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks to celebrate the Unimog’s anniversary, the show vehicle will be trialed by a customer next year to gauge demand.
- Based on the U 4023 platform, it retains core off-road hardware including portal axles, a flexible frame and three locking differentials.
- Mercedes replaces the usual 5.1-liter four-cylinder with a 7.7-liter OM936 straight-six producing about 300 hp for improved traction and smoother transmission behavior.
- The dual-cab interior seats four and adds leather upholstery, ergonomic seats, LED ambient lighting and leather floor mats.
- Exterior and tech updates include matte grey paint, revised grille and bumper elements, aluminum beadlock wheels, a new LED lighting package and MirrorCam digital side-view monitors.
