Overview

  • The GLC EQ introduces a reinterpreted chrome-framed grille with integrated LED lighting and optional animated pixel elements to reinforce Mercedes’ design heritage in its EV range.
  • Built on the MB.EA architecture, the electric SUV features an 800-volt electrical system paired with a 94.5 kWh NMC battery that targets over 650 km of WLTP range and supports up to 320 kW peak charging.
  • Mercedes has confirmed plans for single-motor rear-wheel-drive, dual-motor 4Matic and AMG performance variants offering up to 483 PS to cover a broad spectrum of power and capability.
  • The GLC EQ will make its world premiere at IAA Mobility in Munich on September 7 and is slated to reach dealerships in spring 2026.
  • This design pivot follows a 19 percent drop in MercedesEV deliveries in the first half of 2025 and underscores a strategy to realign electric models with traditional brand cues.
