Mercedes-Benz Unveils New GLB, Launching Electric-Only With Up to 631 km Range

German orders open today with two trims priced from €59,048 ahead of spring 2026 deliveries.

Overview

  • Two EV variants lead the rollout: the rear-drive GLB 250+ (200 kW, up to 631 km WLTP) and the dual-motor GLB 350 4Matic (260 kW, up to 614 km), both using an 85 kWh battery on an 800‑volt platform.
  • DC fast charging peaks at 320 kW with a claimed 260 km added in 10 minutes, and some markets will need an optional converter to use 400‑volt DC infrastructure.
  • The cabin offers the optional MBUX Superscreen spanning three displays (10.25-inch driver, 14-inch center, 14-inch passenger) running MB.OS with Google Maps and AI features from Microsoft and ChatGPT.
  • Longer by 60 mm in wheelbase (to 2889 mm), the GLB seats five or seven with more second- and third-row space, a 127-litre frunk, up to 1715 litres of cargo capacity, and a 2‑tonne towing claim for the EV.
  • The EQB is folded into the GLB line as hybrids and an entry EV follow next year, and Australia is slated for a Q4 2026 launch with local pricing and specs to be confirmed.
