Mercedes-Benz to Install 600 kW Alpitronic Chargers at Its Hubs Starting in 2026

  • Mercedes-Benz and Alpitronic are designing a dedicated ultra‑high‑power charger informed by a recent benchmark exceeding 1 megawatt using a single 1,000‑amp CCS cable.
  • The network includes about 80 hubs across Germany, the United States, China, Austria and Japan, with plans to add hubs in up to eight more countries within a year and surpass 10,000 fast‑charging points by the end of the decade.
  • Locations are open to all EV brands, while Mercedes drivers receive MB. CHARGE Public features such as automatic route planning and charging‑spot reservations in select regions.
