Mercedes-Benz Reveals EV‑First GLB With Up To 631 km Range, Orders Open in Germany

New GLB has a 60mm longer wheelbase and is 98mm longer overall, which should translate to a roomier cabin.
The new-gen Mercedes-Benz GLB has debuted with EV and ICE powertrains, and will come to India in the latter guise only, at least initially.

Overview

  • Two initial EVs launch first: GLB 250+ (200 kW RWD, up to 631 km WLTP) and GLB 350 4MATIC (260 kW AWD, up to 614 km), both with an 85 kWh battery.
  • German pricing is set at €59,048 for the 250+ and €62,178 for the 350 4MATIC, with configuration now live and deliveries scheduled for spring 2026.
  • The 800‑volt platform supports up to 320 kW DC fast charging with a claimed 260 km added in 10 minutes, plus bi‑directional V2H and V2G support.
  • MB. OS and fourth‑generation MBUX introduce the optional Superscreen, Google Maps‑based navigation, and an AI assistant using Microsoft, Google and ChatGPT‑4o.
  • A longer wheelbase increases space for five‑ or seven‑seat layouts and a 127‑litre frunk, with an entry EV and petrol‑hybrid variants due later in 2026 as regional specs and EPA ratings are finalized.
