Overview
- Priced at Rs 1.35 crore (ex-showroom), the CLE 53 4MATIC+ becomes Mercedes-Benz India’s 10th AMG model, positioned above the CLE 300 Cabriolet.
- It is driven by a 3.0-litre M 256M twin-turbo inline-six with a 48V mild-hybrid starter-generator, delivering 449 bhp and 560 Nm (600 Nm with overboost) through a nine-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT gearbox and Performance 4MATIC+ AWD.
- Mercedes-AMG claims a 0–100 km/h sprint in 4.2 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, extendable to 270 km/h with the AMG Driver’s/Performance Package.
- The cabin adds AMG-specific trim with an 11.9-inch portrait MBUX screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, Burmester surround audio, head-up display, wireless connectivity and 64-colour ambient lighting, plus 2+2 seating and split-folding rear seats for extra boot space.
- Bookings are open at authorised dealerships and deliveries have commenced, setting the CLE 53 as a premium alternative to rivals such as the BMW M2.
