Overview

  • The Concept AMG GT XX previews Mercedes-AMG’s first production EV on the AMG.EA platform, set for 2026, likely replacing the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
  • It features three axial flux motors—one for the front axle and two for the rear—that deliver 1,341 hp and enable a top speed of 223 mph while offering precise torque vectoring.
  • The AMG.EA architecture supports charging at over 850 kW, allowing the addition of 400 km of WLTP range in about five minutes via a prototype 1,000 A CCS charger developed with Alpitronic.
  • A bespoke High Performance Electric Battery uses NCMA cells with direct cell cooling to achieve 300 Wh/kg energy density for sustained track performance and improved battery longevity.
  • Advanced aerodynamics yield a drag coefficient of 0.198, and features like electroluminescent paint, headlight speakers, and sustainable Labfiber materials reflect AMG’s design innovation and eco-focused direction.
