Mercedes-AMG Teases High-Performance Electric SUV with Over 1,000 HP Potential

The upcoming EV SUV, built on the AMG.EA platform, is undergoing winter testing and could rival top electric performance vehicles.

Mercedes-AMG has revealed a prototype of its first all-electric high-performance SUV, currently in development and testing phases.
The SUV is the second model built on the AMG.EA platform, which supports twin- and tri-motor configurations capable of producing over 1,000 horsepower.
Winter testing in northern Sweden is assessing the vehicle's durability and performance in extreme conditions, including its advanced axial-flux motors and high-performance battery system.
The design features an aggressive stance, sharp lines, and a reimagined front fascia, setting it apart from existing Mercedes electric SUVs like the EQE.
Expected to debut after its four-door coupé sibling in 2025, the SUV aims to compete with models like the Porsche Macan Electric and Lotus Eletre.
