• Mercedes-AMG and the German regulator launched the recall on June 25 covering 219 AMG One hypercars worldwide, of which 183 are registered in Germany.
• Engineers found missing splint locks on the active rear spoiler’s hydraulic lines that can allow fluid to leak onto hot parts and ignite.
• The recall applies to vehicles produced between December 12, 2022, and May 9, 2025.
• Owners are advised to schedule a complimentary 90-minute inspection at authorized dealerships to verify and correct the splint locks.
• Officials have not confirmed a direct link between the defect and a fire that destroyed an AMG One in Niedersachsen earlier this month.
