Overview

  • The two CONCEPT AMG GT XX cars completed 40,075 km in 7 days, 13 hours, 24 minutes and 7 seconds in continuous operation at the Nardò high-speed track.
  • Mercedes-AMG reports a new 24-hour EV distance record of 5,479 km, exceeding the previous mark by more than 1,500 km.
  • Engineers targeted a steady pace near 300 km/h to optimize the balance between driving stints and recharge time based on simulations.
  • Rapid charging averaged about 850 kW, a power level that outstrips commonly available public fast-charging infrastructure.
  • The program logged 3,177 laps in temperatures up to around 35°C, produced 25 records, and the two prototypes finished within 25 km of each other, underscoring platform reliability with three axial-flux motors and a liquid-cooled battery.
