Overview

• The Dirección General de Escuelas halted the afternoon shift for all levels and modalities in Malargüe, San Rafael, General Alvear, Tupungato, San Carlos, Tunuyán, and Uspallata (Las Heras).
• Schools outside those localities continue operating normally with no reported suspensions elsewhere in the province.
• Affected students and staff were instructed to continue coursework virtually via the Escuela Digital Mendoza platform.
• The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional kept yellow alerts in place for Zonda in the precordillera and for storms in Valle de Uco, the East, General Alvear, and low San Rafael.
• Regional forecasts warned of a strong southerly wind later today with gusts near 60 km/h and possible precipitation after Zonda gusts began near midday in high mountain areas.
