Mendoza Sets Training Dates and Pay for Poll Workers Under New Paper Ballot

The province ties higher stipends to in-person training to prepare election staff for the rollout of the single paper ballot system.

  • Election authorities published a department-by-department calendar for in-person trainings running October 6–23 with specific venues and times across the province.
  • Poll workers who complete training will receive 80,000 pesos, while those who serve without training will be paid 40,000 pesos.
  • Voters will cast two ballots using the single paper ballot format, placing national and provincial/municipal choices in separate color-coded ballot boxes.
  • In Maipú, Luján de Cuyo, San Rafael, Rivadavia, La Paz and Santa Rosa, the provincial ballot will list only candidates for deputies and senators due to postponed municipal contests.
