• Fabián Cremaschi, a prominent neurosurgeon from Mendoza, was attacked by five pit bulls while training in the Potrerillos perilago.
• The incident occurred near the old railway bridge access in a busy tourist area frequently used for trail events.
• Bystanders, KUMEN Trail Adventure Series organizers and the dogs’ owners assisted immediately, with the owners driving him to Centro de Salud Nº 34 in Potrerillos.
• He was stabilized there and then treated at Mendoza’s Hospital Central Traumatology unit, including care from Dr. Gloria Bilen and Dr. Leonardo Castronovo.
• In a public post he shared a selfie taken minutes before, thanked named helpers and medical teams, said he needs to recover due to many scheduled surgeries, and reports to date mention no legal actions.
