Memphis Defeats UAB to Claim AAC Tournament Title and NCAA Berth

Memphis, ranked No. 16, won the American Athletic Conference (AAC) tournament with an 84-72 victory over UAB in Fort Worth, Texas.
PJ Haggerty scored 23 points, including a critical tiebreaking shot in the second half, while Dain Dainja contributed a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite missing their top two point guards, Tyrese Hunter and Dante Harris, Memphis extended their winning streak to eight games and improved to a 29-5 record this season.
UAB's Yaxel Lendeborg had a standout performance with 19 points and 17 rebounds, marking his 23rd double-double of the season, tied for the most nationally.
This marks Memphis' first AAC regular-season championship and second tournament title in three years under head coach Penny Hardaway.
