Melissa Aouate Named President of Blumhouse Television's Scripted Division

Melissa Aouate has officially joined Blumhouse Television as President of its scripted division, succeeding Chris McCumber, who departed in October 2023.
Aouate brings over a decade of experience from Fabel Entertainment, where she helped lead productions like Amazon’s Bosch series and its spinoffs.
Her appointment signals Blumhouse’s strategic focus on expanding its scripted television slate while maintaining its reputation for bold and innovative storytelling.
Blumhouse’s unscripted department remains under the leadership of Gretchen Palek, with Rob Hackett continuing to oversee Atomic Monster’s television operations.
Current scripted projects under Blumhouse include Prime Video’s The Bondsman starring Kevin Bacon and the upcoming Scarpetta series featuring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis.
