Overview

  • The Piastri Grandstand will be on Albert Park’s main straight opposite pit lane and the McLaren garage, offering direct views of the start line.
  • The new section forms part of an expanded structure alongside the Fangio Grandstand and will feature some of the circuit’s most premium seats.
  • The 2026 Australian Grand Prix is scheduled for March 5–8, with tickets for the event going on public sale on September 10, 2025.
  • Piastri called the honour “very surreal” and said he looks forward to seeing fans in a stand carrying his name directly across from his team’s garage.
  • AGPC chief Travis Auld framed the move as recognition of Piastri’s swift rise through the ranks, with the McLaren driver leading the 2025 standings and joining Brabham, Jones, Webber and Ricciardo in having a named stand at Albert Park.
