Melania Trump Welcomes 2025 White House Christmas Tree From Michigan Farm

The concolor fir from Korson’s Tree Farms follows the NCTA contest win, marking Michigan’s first official White House tree since 1985.

Overview

  • Rex and Jessica Korson presented the roughly 25-foot tree after their farm won the National Christmas Tree Association’s Grand Champion title in July.
  • The tree arrived on a horse-drawn carriage pulled by Clydesdales Logan and Ben as a military band played, and the first lady said, “It’s a beautiful tree.”
  • White House superintendent of grounds Dale Haney selected the tree in September for the Blue Room display on the State Floor.
  • President Donald Trump and the first lady are scheduled to hold the annual turkey pardon in the Rose Garden on Nov. 25.
  • Public tours featuring the holiday decorations are set to resume in early December, with several outlets reporting a Dec. 2 reopening.
