Overview
- The new amount applies from January 1, 2026, up from R$75.90 charged through December 2025.
- MEIs pay via the DAS, which is due on the 20th each month and can be generated on the Simples Nacional portal or the MEI app.
- Payments can be made by boleto, Pix, automatic debit or other options offered by financial institutions.
- Activity-based add-ons apply: R$1 for commerce/industry (ICMS), R$5 for services (ISS), or R$6 for both, taking the monthly total up to R$87.05.
- Formalization provides a CNPJ, invoicing and credit access, and social security coverage; revenue caps remain R$81,000 a year for most MEIs and R$251,600 for truckers, whose monthly base is R$194.52.
