Meyers argued that discussing differences in Israeli policy shouldn't automatically be equated with antisemitism and pointed out that Omar had already apologized for her statements, sparking McCain's ire.
During the podcast, McCain emphasized that her husband, Ben Domenech, had defended her after the Meyers incident by tweeting that Meyers only had his show because he 'gargled Lorne Michaels' balls.'
Although Domenech later apologized for his aggressive tweets against Meyers and deleted them, neither he nor McCain appear to have softened their views on the late-night host.
