Meghalaya to Script Pa Togan Plays for Schools With Fresh Funding for Memorial

• Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma made the announcement during the 153rd death anniversary observance at Togan Park in Chisobibra, East Garo Hills.
• A detailed script on Pa Togan’s life will be produced and distributed to schools and colleges for student enactments.
• Sangma said a short play on the Garo freedom fighter has already been prepared for use.
• Nearly Rs 17 lakh has been provided for Chisobibra infrastructure under the World Tourism Day Community-led Tourism Fund and the CMSDF, with another Rs 20 lakh to follow.
• The government pledged continued support to the Pa Togan Memorial Association, while Cabinet Minister Marcuise N. Marak urged safeguarding historical narratives that build community pride.
