Winning numbers for the drawing were announced as 11-22-42-64-69, with the Mega Ball being 18 and a Megaplier of 3X.
The jackpot increased from the previous $311 million after no winners emerged from Tuesday's drawing.
Mega Millions drawings are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
If a winner chooses the cash option for Friday's jackpot, they would receive approximately $162 million after taxes.
