Overview

• Decreto Supremo Nº 222-2025-EF, published on October 10 in El Peruano, establishes unified procedures for CTS, Asignación por Tiempo de Servicios and the funeral subsidy for ordinary public university teachers.
• CTS is granted for effective service time, including periods of imperfect suspension, with recognition made ex officio by the competent university authority.
• Service years are counted from the date of appointment and restart from the last reincorporation, while part-time service allowances are calculated proportionally using full-time pay for the same category as the base.
• The funeral subsidy is set at S/3,000, must be requested by the beneficiary, and is to be paid within 30 calendar days after application once the university verifies death and kinship.
• These benefits are non-remunerative and non-pensionable, beneficiaries must be registered in the MEF’s AIRHSP system, and payments for civilian teachers in Defense and Interior universities will be charged to those sectors’ budgets.
