Meerut Woman and Lover Arrested for Brutal Murder of Merchant Navy Officer

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla confessed to killing Saurabh Rajput, dismembering his body, and sealing it in a cement-filled drum to conceal the crime.

Saurabh Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer, was murdered on March 4, 2025, by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
The accused dismembered Saurabh's body into 15 pieces and concealed it in a cement-filled drum, which was recovered by police after using specialized tools.
Muskan and Sahil attempted to mislead investigators by using Saurabh's phone, posting on his social media, and traveling to Shimla-Manali to create an alibi.
The crime came to light after Muskan's mother alerted police following a foul smell from the house, leading to the confession and arrests of the accused.
Muskan's parents condemned her actions, supported Saurabh's family, and demanded the harshest punishment for their daughter.
