Meerut Couple Arrested for Gruesome Murder of Merchant Navy Officer

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla confessed to killing Saurabh Rajput, dismembering his body, and encasing it in cement before fleeing to Himachal Pradesh.

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla meticulously planned the murder of Saurabh Rajput, beginning preparations in November 2023, including researching sedatives and purchasing weapons.
On March 4, 2025, Muskan drugged Saurabh with sedative-laced food before she and Sahil stabbed him to death, dismembered his body, and sealed the remains in a cement-filled drum.
The pair fled to Himachal Pradesh the same day, posing as a married couple, celebrating Holi, and staying in hotels until returning to Meerut on March 17.
The crime was uncovered after a foul smell from the drum raised suspicions, leading to their arrest and confession on March 18.
Investigations continue as police prepare a chargesheet, with forensic analysis underway and public attention drawn to the case's chilling details and the accused's post-crime behavior.
