• Shah Rukh Khan visited the affected Amritsar villages on Wednesday and highlighted loss of cattle, lives and rice crops.
• The collaboration will initially focus on the two worst-hit villages identified by Voice of Amritsar from five assessed communities.
• Distribution of household goods—beds, mattresses, gas stoves, fans and water purifiers—is planned for roughly 500 families adopted collectively.
• AIIMS doctors are working with Voice of Amritsar volunteers in Amritsar and Gurdaspur, with additional backing from Kolkata’s Care Foundation.
• Separately, Salman Khan’s Being Human sent five rescue boats and used his TV platform to urge public support for Punjab flood relief.
