Overview

  • On June 18, Medtech Products Inc. voluntarily recalled five lots of Little Remedies Honey Cough Syrup over Bacillus cereus contamination and loss of shelf stability.
  • The affected 4-ounce amber bottles, labeled with lot numbers 0039, 0545, 0640, 0450 and 1198, were sold nationwide from December 14, 2022 through June 4, 2025.
  • Bacillus cereus can cause two types of foodborne illness marked by nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or diarrhea and can be fatal at high concentrations.
  • Consumers should stop using any in-expiry product matching the recalled lots and consult a healthcare provider if they experience related symptoms.
  • No serious adverse events have been reported in connection with the recalled syrup.
