Medical Helicopter Crash in Kentucky Claims Lives of Three Crew Members

The Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter was en route to pick up a patient when it collided with a guy-wire, leading to a fatal crash.

The crash occurred near Owenton, Kentucky, close to state Highway 22 on Monday evening.
The helicopter, identified as a Bell 206, caught fire after hitting a guy-wire, according to initial reports.
The crew members, Gale Alleman, Bethany Aicken, and James Welsh, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the accident.
