Overview

• Authorities identified the 1-year-old as Anthony Casey, found unresponsive at a Brownsville home on Oct. 3.
• Officers responded to a 911 call around 4:58 p.m. at Thatford Avenue and Newport Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
• EMS took the child to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
• The Office of Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause to be blunt force trauma to the torso and classified the manner as homicide.
