- At approximately 8 a.m. on June 3, a GMC Acadia driven by a 74-year-old Zion man struck the stop arm of a school bus stopped for boarding near Sheridan Road and Michigan Boulevard.
- After initial impact, the SUV sideswiped a Ford Focus, then collided with a Chevrolet Colorado and a Ford Flex before coming to rest.
- The 74-year-old driver was hospitalized in critical condition and two other drivers suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
