Overview
- The Ministério da Educação and Inep published the edital on Friday, May 22, 2026, scheduling registrations for May 25–June 5 and two exam Sundays on November 8 and 15.
- Candidates who are not exempt must pay an R$85 fee by June 10 using a GRU, Pix or card while those approved for exemption must still complete the online enrollment to validate participation.
- Inep will automatically pre‑register students regularly enrolled in 3rd year public high schools from data sent by school networks, but those students must confirm participation, choose test city and foreign language, and request any accessibility support on the Página do Participante.
- The edital targets roughly 10,000 school test locations and sets a goal that about 80% of public‑school concluintes take the exam at their own school to cut travel and logistical barriers.
- Adults aged 18 or older may opt at registration to use Enem results for a high‑school certificate subject to minimum scores, and requests for name‑social treatment and specialized assistance follow the May 25–June 5 window with results and appeal deadlines into June and early July.
