Meat Found in Hyderabad Temple Proven to Be Brought by Cat

CCTV footage confirmed a cat carried mutton into the temple, dispelling initial suspicions of foul play.

A piece of meat was discovered near the Shiva Lingam in a temple in Hyderabad's Tappachabutra area on Wednesday morning.
The discovery led to protests from locals and members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), who suspected intentional desecration.
Police formed four teams to investigate and reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the source of the meat.
The footage revealed a cat carrying a 250-gram piece of mutton into the temple premises, ruling out human involvement.
Authorities urged the public to avoid spreading rumors or misinformation following the incident, which had initially caused tension in the area.
