Measles Alerts Issued for Gold Coast School Exposure and 16 Sunshine Coast Sites

Officials direct anyone exposed to monitor for symptoms through late October.

  • Queensland Health named 16 Sunshine Coast locations visited by two infectious people between October 8 and 13 and warned visitors they may have been exposed.
  • Gold Coast Health said contact tracing has been completed where applicable and that the school has received appropriate advice.
  • Health guidance urges symptomatic people to stay home, arrange testing via a GP or 13HEALTH, and ensure they have two MMR doses, which are free for eligible Queenslanders.
