MDR to Conclude 'Polizeiruf 110' Series from Halle in 2026

The crime series, launched for the show's 50th anniversary, was planned as a three-part project with no successor currently in development.

The MDR's 'Polizeiruf 110' series from Halle will end in 2026 after completing its planned trilogy.
The series, featuring detectives Henry Koitzsch and Michael Lehmann, debuted in 2021 to mark the 50th anniversary of the 'Polizeiruf 110' franchise.
The final installment, titled 'Der Schlüsselmacher,' is scheduled to be filmed in 2025.
No follow-up project for the Halle-based storyline is currently planned, according to MDR Program Director Jana Brandt.
MDR continues to produce other regional crime dramas, including 'Polizeiruf' from Magdeburg and 'Tatort' from Dresden, alongside new episodes of 'Wolfsland' and 'Tod am Rennsteig.'
