McRib Returns to Select U.S. Cities in Limited Regional Rollout

The seasonal relaunch stokes demand and consumer tracking while a federal class-action suit questions what is in the pork patty.

Overview

  • McDonald’s confirmed the McRib returned to menus starting Oct. 27 at select restaurants in cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Dallas.
  • The company has not announced how long the sandwich will be available and is directing customers to the McDonald’s app for local menu listings.
  • Fans and reporters are using the crowdsourced site McRibLocator to track sightings and reported prices, which currently range roughly from $4.47 to $7.99 with an average near $6.05.
  • A 45-page federal class-action complaint filed Dec. 23, 2025 alleges the patty is a restructured pork product made from various non-rib cuts, and McDonald’s says that claim is inaccurate and that the McRib is made with 100 percent pork.
  • The McRib’s long pattern of intermittent, limited returns has created a cult following that drives short-term demand and close price and ingredient scrutiny when the sandwich reappears.
