Overview
- McLaren signed 14-year-old Ella Häkkinen and 19-year-old Ella Stevens to its Driver Development Programme as part of a broadened female talent pathway.
- From 2026 the team will field two F1 Academy cars run by Rodin Motorsport, with one entry branded McLaren Oxagon in partnership with NEOM.
- Ella Lloyd will continue with McLaren in F1 Academy in 2026 and is currently third in the 2025 standings with one win and four additional podiums ahead of the Las Vegas finale.
- Stevens, runner-up in the 2025 British KZ2 Karting Championship and fastest at the series’ rookie test, will make her single-seater debut in F1 Academy next season.
- Häkkinen will undertake single-seater testing in preparation for a planned 2027 move into cars, continuing the family’s historic link to McLaren through her father, Mika.
