• Union Minister G Kishan Reddy presented the Star Rating Awards in Mumbai, joined by Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey and Coal Secretary Vikram Dev Dutt.
• Mahanadi Coalfields Limited received nine five‑star citations for 2023–24, including underground Hirakhand‑Bundia and Orient Colliery 1&2 and opencast operations such as Kulda, Ananta, Samleshwari, Bhubaneswari, Lajkura, Belpahar and the Gopalji‑Kaniha Expansion project.
