McKinney Police Seek Public’s Help in Hunt for Stolen German Shepherd Puppy

The McKinney Police Department has appealed for public tips following the release of surveillance stills of the microchipped puppy's abduction

  • Surveillance video shows the suspect entering with a face covering, speaking with staff and then fleeing with the puppy from a playroom near the exit.
  • A passerby captured a photo of the suspect carrying the puppy as he ran into a nearby housing development.
  • The suspect is described as tall and thin, wearing glasses, a green cap, dark pants and a Betty Boop t-shirt.
  • The puppy has been reported stolen and is microchipped, and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer D. Safford at the McKinney Police Department.
