Overview

  • Starting Sept. 2, more than 500 McDonald’s restaurants in Wisconsin, Colorado and surrounding areas will trial ten limited-time beverages inspired by CosMc’s.
  • Featured items include Creamy Vanilla Cold Brew, Toasted Vanilla Frappé, Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, Sprite Lunar Splash and Popping Tropic Refresher.
  • CosMc’s standalone concept operated for 18 months before closing in May, and its most popular drinks are now being folded into core menus.
  • The test aims to attract Gen Z customers with colorful, customizable cold coffees, refreshers and crafted sodas as McDonald’s seeks to strengthen its position in the specialty-beverage market.
  • Data from the trial will inform operational feasibility and customer preferences to support a potential nationwide expansion of McDonald’s beverage lineup.
