The collaboration will introduce a new Shaka Shaka Potato flavor, though the exact flavor remains unannounced, with McDonald’s humorously clarifying it will not be green onion-flavored.
Shaka Shaka Potatoes are a popular menu item in Japan, where customers mix powdered seasoning with fries in a bag to create unique flavors.
This partnership continues McDonald’s history of collaborating with Japanese pop culture icons, following previous tie-ins with Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Hello Kitty.
