McDonald's Extends $5 Meal Deal Through December

The popular value meal, initially a summer promotion, will now be available in most U.S. markets for the rest of the year.

The $5 Meal Deal includes a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, small fries, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a small soft drink.
McDonald's introduced the deal in June to attract inflation-weary consumers and saw significant success, prompting the extension.
Around 80% of U.S. franchisees voted to continue the promotion through December, with some markets offering the meal for $6.
Additional fall promotions include $0.50 Double Cheeseburgers on National Cheeseburger Day and $1 10-piece Chicken McNuggets in November.
Competitors like Burger King, Wendy's, and Taco Bell have also introduced similar value meals to attract budget-conscious diners.
