The shift follows NMC approvals plus NBE‑flagged DNB withdrawals, requiring a fresh run of seat processing.

Overview

  • MCC published a revised Round 1 matrix adding 239 NMC‑approved deemed‑university PG seats and withdrawing 235 DNB seats, including 186 from government institutes and 49 from private colleges.
  • Round 1 choice filling reopened and closed on November 21, seat processing began at 2 pm, and results are scheduled on November 22 on mcc.nic.in.
  • Candidates allotted in Round 1 must report to assigned colleges from November 23 to December 1 for verification and joining as per the revised timetable.
  • Following the DNB withdrawals, rosters for government institutes offering DNB programmes were recalculated, while the All India Quota MD/MS roster remains unchanged.
  • Additional MD/MS and deemed‑university seats approved by NMC will be included in Round 2, and West Bengal’s state counselling follows its own updated schedule with Round 1 allotment on November 27 and reporting from November 28 to December 3.
